If you like what you see during your 7-day trial and become a paid subscriber, you will benefit from two additional communication tools, (iv) sending emails and (v) sending instant messages. You may cancel at any time within your 7 day trial and your card won't be billed. Our favorite feature of Yahoo Personals was the fact that as a free member you may choose from 16 different ice-breaker messages to send. In general, new members will be eligible if they post an approved searchable profile and primary photo; and communicate with at least 5 different people each month. But if you're serious about finding someone special then meeting those kind of criteria should be a piece of cake. If you don't want to worry about keeping track of your status, you can ask Yahoo! Personals top keep you updated via monthly emails. These kinds of reminders can be important as you must, for example, apply for the 6-month promise by emailing Yahoo! Personals during the 10-days before your subscription automatically renews. If you're eligible for the 6-Month Promise, you must use it immediately after your paid six-month subscription ends.

Secondly, in their new 5-star safety program they highlight their safety conscious attitude:

1. Member-Controlled Privacy:

There are also many ads on the site, from banner ads to sponsored listings. However, this doesn't intrude on the navigation of the site and is just a minor complaint.
